How to transform a cool and anonymous neon tube into something poetic, ironic and full of character?

Marc Sadler gets it for Foscarini, wrapping a roll of paper, like a piece of parchment in its appearance and texture, around a central axis. The result is Jamaica, a suspended structure, smooth and fluid that evokes a feeling of lightness, joy and warmth.

This is the concept behind Jamaica, a lamp developed horizontally as a cloud. The linearity and the apparent simplicity of the final result require a long study and numerous tests, to define the material most suitable for the desired sensation of lightness on the one hand, and to achieve the perfect formal representation of the idea on the other, obtaining an alchemy Difficult still delicate between technique and imagination.
