Mariano Guzzini’s children: Raimondo, Giovanni, virgil and Giuseppe founded Harvey Creazioni for the production of enameled copper art objects. The name was inspired by Harvey, the giant imaginary rabbit friend of James Stewart in the 1950 namesake film.
At that time, young Guzzinis worked in the company at nights. Evenafter finishing work at Fratelli Guzzini, Adolfo Guzzini, still a student, worked in his spare time and holidays. Harvey will be the core of the future iGuzzini Illuminazione. And shortly, along with the decorative copper production, the lighting production based in plastic technology would begin. In 1963, Harvey Guzzini Creazione Snc di R. & G. Was born and its partners were: Giovanni Raimondo, Virgil, Giuseppe, Giannunzio and Adolfo.
In 1964, Giancarlo Capici designed the first catalog that offered a linguistically autonomous production of lamps. He had already left the production of copper fittings and had acquired metalworking machinery for the production of lighting. Luigi Massoni was commissioned to build the overall image of Harvey, acting as coordinator of the image for products, exposure and packaging.
